I MODIUM “L’anno del contatto” (MOD 01)
Può capitare, dalle sponde friulane, che il grande amore coltivato da tempo per sonorità e canzoni immortali di storiche band italiane dei seventies come PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme, Area, diventi qualcosa di più di un tributo, bensì un atto d’amore tradotto in canzoni originali, chiaramente ispirate alla musica degli anni dorati del rock italiano, eppure con una propria freschezza e spontaneità, così brillanti da generare un credibile trait d’union dagli anni 70 ad oggi.
Nasce così “L’anno del contatto”, primo album ufficiale de I MODIUM, band di collaudata attività. Un contatto solenne che ribadisce lo spirito di una musica che non muore mai e che, dopo averla omaggiata in tante occasioni live, trova modo di rigenerarsi in questi nove brani sempre avvincenti nelle soluzioni sia ritmiche che melodiche.
Titoli come “PFM (Per Favore Musica)” e “Sorona dove sei” sono ulteriormente emblematici, un lungo filo che ricongiunge passato e presente, non solo gli anni 70 ma anche certe splendide pagine progressive partorite dalla provincia udinese tra gli anni 90 e primi anni 2000, grazie all’ottima chitarra di Elvio Tavian che aveva militato nei Quasar Lux Symphoniae, suonando nel loro ultimo album “Synopsis”.
Completano la line-up Alessandro Filippo (tastiere), Michele Seravalle (batteria), Gianni Regeni (basso, chitarra acustica) e la voce elegante di Silvio Frausin.
It can happen, from the italian north-east region Friuli, that the great love cultivated for many years for sounds and immortal songs of historical Italian seventies bands like PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme, Area, become something more than a tribute, but an act of love translated into original songs, clearly inspired by the music of the golden years of Italian prog-rock, yet with its own freshness and spontaneity, so brilliant that it generated a credible trait d’union from the 1970s to the present.
Thus was born “L’anno del contatto”, the first official album of I MODIUM, band of tested activity. A solemn contact that reaffirms the spirit of a music that never dies and that, after honoring it on so many live occasions, finds a way to regenerate itself in these nine compelling tracks in both rhythmic and melodic solutions.
Titles such as “PFM (Per Favore Musica)” and “Sorona dove sei” are further emblematic, a long thread that brings together past and present, not only the 70s but also some splendid progressive pages born from the province of Udine between the 90s and the first 2000s, thanks to the excellent guitar by Elvio Tavian who played in the Quasar Lux Symphoniae, playing in their latest album “Synopsis”.
Alessandro Filippo (keyboards), Michele Seravalle (drums), Gianni Regeni (bass, acoustic guitar) and the elegant voice of Silvio Frausin complete the line-up.
