Il ritorno discografico dei FIABA è sempre un evento molto speciale.
A 26 anni dal loro esordio con lo stupefacente “XII L’appiccato” e a 8 anni dal loro ultimo lavoro “La pelle nella luna” arriva finalmente un nuovo album della cult band siracusana davvero unica per il suo sound, crocevia folk-metal-prog, che qualcuno ha provato a definire “fairies metal” o “elfic metal” con attitudini progressive. Tuttavia i Fiaba non sono catalogabili all’interno di un genere nè di una specifica definizione perchè il centro espressivo è in un indefinibile altrove, un altro mondo che alimenta le visioni di un giullare cantastorie.
“Di gatti di rane di folletti e d’altre storie” è un mondo incantato in cui ogni canzone è un racconto, anzi una fiaba i cui protagonisti si confondono spesso tra perdenti e vincitori, tra amori e disillusioni.
La straordinaria fonte favolistica, la batteria e le chitarre acustiche di Bruno Rubino e la grande espressività vocale (e la teatralità) di Giuseppe Brancato sono i tratti inconfondibili, assecondati ottimamente da Massimo Catena (chitarra), Davide Santo (basso), Graziano Manuele (chitarra).
Il resto è sempre e ancora la magia del Fiaba !!!

However the Fiaba are not categorized within a genre or a specific definition because the expressive center is in an indefinable elsewhere, another world that feeds the visions of a storyteller jester.
“Di gatti di rane di folletti e d’altre storie” is an enchanted world in which each song is a story, or rather a fairy tale whose protagonists are often confused between losers and winners, between loves and disillusions.
The extraordinary fable source, the drums and acoustic guitars of Bruno Rubino and the great vocal expressiveness (and theatricality) of Giuseppe Brancato are the unmistakable traits, perfectly supported by Massimo Catena (guitar), Davide Santo (bass), Graziano Manuele (guitar ).
