Dopo diversi anni di pubblicazioni di album di band cilene come Akinetón Retard e Yonhosago, la Lizard Records punta ancora una volta sulla musica cilena nel 2026. Questa volta, i riflettori sono puntati sull’eccezionale gruppo ASCETA e sul loro nuovo album, “The fool leading the blind” (Il folle che guida il cieco). I brani dell’album rappresentano una critica diretta alla falsa leadership che spinge le persone a seguire passivamente un mondo di inganni. In questo terzo lavoro in studio, gli ASCETA rimangono fedeli al loro stile, evitando la gratificazione immediata e l’ascolto facile. 
Il gruppo dimostra un impegno costante nell’esplorazione artistica, una meticolosa cura del suono e una profonda espressione emotiva,privilegiando questi valori rispetto agli obiettivi commerciali e all’intrattenimento effimero. Musicalmente, gli ASCETA offrono un album leggermente più energico ed elettrico dei precedenti, pur mantenendo intatta la loro identità distintiva. Il lavoro si distingue per l‘impeccabile padronanza dell’architettura ritmica, che spazia traatmosfere cinematografiche e intricati e continui dialoghi tra gli strumenti.

After several years of releasing albums by Chilean bands such as Akinetón Retard and Yonhosago, Lizard Records is once again betting on Chilean music in 2026. This time, the spotlight is on the outstanding ensemble ASCETA and their new album, “The fool leading the blind”. 
The album’s tracks serve as a direct critique of the false leadership that drives people to peacefully follow a world of deception.In this third studio work, ASCETA stays true to form, steering clear of immediate gratification and easy listening. The ensemble demonstrates a steadfast commitment to artistic exploration, meticulous sound craft, and deep emotional expression, prioritizing these values over commercial goals and fleeting entertainment.Musically, ASCETA delivers an album that is slightly more energetic and electric than its predecessors, while fully preserving their signature identity. The work stands out for its impeccable mastery of rhythmic engineering, shifting through cinematic atmospheres and intricate, continuous dialogues between instruments.
